- Maratha Bravery Day
Panipat Maratha Bravery Day is celebrated to honour the Bravery and sacrifice of the Maratha Empire. This day is considered important as it commemorates the Third Battle of Panipat, which took place on 14 January 1761.
In this battle, the Maratha Empire fought bravely against the huge army of the Afghan ruler Ahmad Shah Abdali. Although the Marathas were defeated in this war, the story of their bravery, sacrifice, and patriotism is still inspiring. Thousands of Maratha soldiers sacrificed their lives for the motherland.
The Battle of Panipat is not just a defeat but an event that teaches the high ideals of patriotism. The courage, strategy, and sacrifice of the Maratha warriors are immortal in history.
