International Hindi Day is celebrated every year on 10 January. In 1975, the first World Hindi Conference was organized in Nagpur. It was decided to celebrate this day to commemorate that historical moment.

Hindi is the most widely spoken language in India and is popular all over the world. The Constitution of India recognized Hindi as the official language of India on 14 September 1949. But International Hindi Day is celebrated to promote Hindi internationally.

On this day, various programs, seminars, and literary activities are organized by Indian embassies and cultural institutions around the world for the promotion of Hindi language.

International Hindi Day reminds us of the importance of preserving and promoting the Hindi language. This day strengthens the global recognition of the language and increases pride in Indian culture.
